Personal, learning and thinking skills

Awarding organisations must design learning outcomes and assessment criteria that clearly include opportunities for the development of PLTS. At all levels of the Diploma principal learning must include all six PLTS. These should be integrated as a minimum within the assessment criteria for principal learning to explicitly recognise the application of these skills within sector-relevant contexts. Awarding organisations must also provide a clear mapping of the coverage of PLTS within their submission. This should be at the level requested under each topic within the criteria, such as ‘independent enquirers’, ‘creative thinkers’ and so on.
