The regulatory arrangements in this document consist of the recognition requirements (Part 1) and the operating rules (Part 2) for component and Diploma awarding bodies. There is also a glossary at the end of this document.
Component and Diploma awarding bodies must also comply with the Criteria for accreditation of Foundation, Higher and Advanced Diploma qualifications version 2 (Ofqual, 2009). Principal learning and project component awarding bodies must also comply with the GCSE, GCE, principal learning and project code of practice April 2010 which amplifies aspects of the operating rules.1
